HVAC Replacement & Upgrades
Aging equipment or rooms that never feel right? Start with what you want to improve. We’ll help you compare what can stay, what should change and which systems deserve a closer look.

You do not need to know the replacement yet.
The first decision is what the project should achieve. Replacement heating, new cooling and better room coverage can lead to different equipment and work.
Keep what fits
Review suitable existing ducts, controls and heating.
Change what matters
Connect the proposed work to your comfort goals.
Compare the whole project
Equipment, connections, coverage and price belong together.
What is prompting the upgrade?
Describe what you notice. You do not need to diagnose the system or choose a brand beforehand.
Older equipment
You want to understand replacement options before committing.
Added cooling
You want summer comfort the current setup does not provide.
Uneven temperatures
The equipment and the way it serves rooms both need discussion.
Existing equipment & distribution
- Equipment condition and compatibility
- Room coverage and airflow questions
- Electrical capacity and access
Conceptual before/after—not an actual job or a promised outcome.
Make a keep-and-change plan
An upgrade need not mean removing every component. Identify the current heating, ducts, room units and controls, then ask how each fits the proposed configuration.
Equipment and distribution
Which components are compatible with the proposed plan, and how will air reach the intended spaces?
Electrical and controls
What requirements come with the equipment, and which changes belong in the scope?
The home itself
Layout, insulation and windows influence heating and cooling needs. A new unit does not change every feature of the home.
Compare the paths that match your goal
Start with the capability you want, then follow the service link for more detail.
| Starting point | Worth exploring | Question to settle |
|---|---|---|
| Suitable ducts; heating and cooling goals | Central heat pump | What can stay and what winter output is needed? |
| No ducts or selected room needs | Ductless mini-split | Which rooms will the zones serve? |
| Heating replacement | Furnace or heat pump | Do you want cooling too? |
| Keep heating, add cooling | Air conditioning | What indoor equipment and controls are compatible? |
Bring three things to the conversation
Available information is helpful; a technical diagnosis is not required.
Your current setup
Heating type and approximate age, if known.
Your room priorities
The spaces that matter and what you notice in each season.
Your questions
Budget priorities, equipment to retain or another quote.
A clearer route from enquiry to installation
- 1
Talk through the home
Tell us your current heating, the rooms you use and what you want to improve.
- 2
Compare the options
A free visit brings equipment, room layout, the electrical panel and possible unit locations into the discussion.
- 3
Review the proposal
See the equipment, work, price and exclusions in writing. Ask for equipment warranty and installation labour terms.
- 4
Agree the installation
If you decide to proceed, confirm paperwork, payment or approved financing and a schedule directly with AirCrest.
- 5
Stay in touch
AirCrest follows up after installation. Keep your proposal and equipment details for future questions.
Make the quote answer the whole upgrade
A lower total can describe fewer rooms or less work. Compare the same intended result, then resolve differences in equipment, installation and coverage.
The system and rooms
Exact configuration, capacity and the rooms or zones the proposal is intended to serve.
The work around it
Connections, controls, electrical or duct work, removal and finishes where included. List excluded work separately.
The coverage afterwards
Written equipment warranty and installation labour terms, including exclusions and any registration requirements.
The purchase and payment
Total purchase price and payment arrangements. Read any financing offer as a separate agreement.
